PEARL is a pilot project funded through the SHEFC UMI initiative. Our aim is to investigate the issues involved in providing network acccess to materials from the School's extensive audio archive. We hope that it provides a useful resource to students and scholars of Scottish life during the 20th century.

Bandwidth negotiation for recent content

Articles from issues 51 and 52 of the Tocher, have recently been added to the site. Each uses the "bandwidth negotiation" feature of the the audio server to provide enhanced audio quality for users who have high-speed network connections. It's our intention that all future content will use this feature.
